Leflunomide (Lefuheal 10 mg) 10 mg tablet is a pyrimidine synthesis inhibitor used to treat rheumatoid arthritis. It helps reduce pain and swelling in your joints. It is also used to treat psoriatic arthritis, a condition characterized by inflammation of the joints associated with psoriasis.

How To Take
This medicine may be taken with or without food. Take Leflunomide with plenty of water. Try to make it at the same time each day.
Leflunomide must be taken regularly for it to be effective. Continue taking this medicine even when you feel better. Do not stop taking it unless instructed by the doctor.
Take Leflunomide exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor.
Dosage of Leflunomide (Lefuheal 10 mg) 10 mg
Adult: Rheumatoid arthritis; Psoriatic arthritis: Loading dose: 100 mg once daily for three days. Maintenance: 10-20 mg once daily.
Missed Dose of Leflunomide (Lefuheal 10 mg) 10 mg
If you miss a dose, skip the missed dose and return to your usual dosing schedule. If you often forget to take your medicine, let your doctor and pharmacist know.
Do not double a dose under any circumstances.
Overdose of Leflunomide (Lefuheal 10 mg) 10 mg
Signs of overdose may include the following:
- Abdominal pain
- Elevated liver enzymes
- Pruritus and rash
Seek medical help immediately.
People with the following medical conditions should not take Leflunomide:
- Hepatic impairment
- Moderate and severe renal impairment
- Compromised immune function including bone marrow dysplasia or severe uncontrolled infection
- Severe hypoproteinaemia; concurrent vaccination w/ live vaccines
- Pregnancy and lactation
Leflunomide may have the following side effects:
- Upper respiratory tract infections
- Dry skin
- Weight loss
- Joint disorder
- Peripheral neuropathy
- Mild hyperlipidemia
- Interstitial lung disease
- Stevens-Johnson syndrome
- Toxic epidermal necrolysis
Do not use Leflunomide in people with the following conditions:
- Liver disease
- Kidney disease
- Low immunity due to other illnesses
- Blood disorder
- Serious infections

Take special precautions if you have the following conditions:
- Mild renal impairment
- Patient with history of TB due to the possibility of reactivation of the infection
- Avoid caffeine-containing beverages such as coffee, tea, and certain soft drinks
- Avoid alcohol
- Store at 25°C.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children. Protect from light.
- Do not use Leflunomide that is expired or out of date.
