How To Take
This medicine may be taken with or without food. Try to take it at the same time each day.
Nicorandil must be taken regularly for it to be effective. Continue taking this medicine even when you feel better. Do not stop taking it unless instructed by the doctor.
Take Nicorandil precisely as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor.
Dosage of Nicorandil (Angedil 10) 10 mg
Adult: Initial: 10 mg twice a day. The dose can be increased up to 40 mg twice a day according to the patient’s response and tolerance. Maximum of 40 mg twice a day.
In patients prone to headache: Initial: 5 mg twice a day.
If you miss a dose, skip the missed dose and return to your usual dosing schedule. If you often forget to take your medicine, let your doctor and pharmacist know.
Do not double a dose under any circumstances.
Overdose of Nicorandil (Angedil 10) 10 mg
If you think you may have used Nicorandil more than the usual dose, please seek medical help immediately.
People with the following medical conditions should not take Nicorandil:
- Cardiogenic shock
- Left ventricular failure with a low filling pressure
Nicorandil may have the following side effects:
- Headache (usually transitory)
- Reflex tachycardia at high doses
Do not use Nicorandil in people with the following conditions:
- Very low blood pressure
- Heart attack
- Heart failure
- Low blood volume
- Build up of fluids in the lungs

How Does Nicorandil (Angedil 10) 10 mg Work?
Nicorandil acts by dilating the arterioles and large coronary arteries through opening the potassium channels and stimulating guanylate cyclase, thereby causing venous vasodilatation. It also reduces preload and afterload and improves coronary blood flow.

- Low systolic BP
- Acute pulmonary oedema
- May impair ability to drive or operate machinery
- Avoid alcohol
- Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children.
