How To Take
This drug can be taken either before or after meals.
Cilnidipine comes in the form of a tablet and to be taken orally either once daily or as directed by the physician.
Adult: 5-10 mg once daily, up to 20 mg once daily if needed.
If you miss a dose, skip the missed dose and return to your regular dosing schedule. If you often forget to take your medicine, let your doctor and pharmacist know.
Do not double a dose under any circumstances.
If you think you may have used Cilnidipine more than the usual dose, please immediately seek medical help.
People with the following medical conditions should not take Cilnidipine:
- Cardiogenic shock
- Recent heart attackor acute unstable angina
- Severe aortic stenosis
Cilnidipine may have the following side effects:
- Peripheral edema
- Increased micturition frequency
- Eye pain
- Ischemic chest pain
- Cerebral or myocardial ischemia
- Transient blindness
- Abnormal liver function
- Gingival hyperplasia
Inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any of these medicines:
- Antipsychotic drugs
- Antidiabetes medications

Take special precautions if you have the following conditions:
- Poor cardiac reserve
- Heart failure
- Sudden withdrawal may exacerbate angina
- Discontinue in patients who experience ischemic pain following administration
- Store the medicine in a tightly closed container at room temperature.
- Protect from excess heat and light
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not use cilnidipine that is expired or out of date.
