Indapamide 1.5 mg (Healtrix SR ) 1.5 mg tablet is a thiazide-like diuretic used to treat water retention caused by heart failure. Water retention may be noticed as swelling or shortness of breath. For this reason, it is commonly known as a “water pill.”

How To Take
This medicine should be taken with meals to reduce stomach discomfort. Try to take it at the same time each day. If you are given the sustained-release tablet, swallow it whole; do not chew or crush it.
You may need to pass urine more often while being treated with Indapamide. Take it early in the day to avoid waking up frequently at night to go to the toilet.
Indapamide must be taken regularly for it to work well. Continue taking Indapamide even when you feel better.
Take Indapamide precisely as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor.
Dosage of Indapamide 1.5 mg (Healtrix SR ) 1.5 mg
Adult: Hypertension: 1.25-2.5 mg once daily.
Edema: 2.5 mg once daily, up to 5 mg/day after one week if needed.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, skip the missed dose and return to your regular dosing schedule. If you often forget to take your medicine, let your doctor and pharmacist know.
Do not double a dose under any circumstances.

Your doctor may give you some potassium tablets while you are being treated with Indapamide. Alternatively, he may ask you to take more potassium-rich food such as bananas, prunes, or orange juice.
Avoid alcohol.
