How Does Atenolol (Atenheal 50 mg) 50 mg Work?
Atenolol is a cardioselective antihypertensive drug that competitively blocks beta 1-adrenergic receptors. It has little or no effect on beta 2-receptors, except at high doses. It possesses adverse inotropic effects without intrinsic sympathomimetic and membrane-stabilizing activities. Antagonistic activity by beta-blockers like Atenolol can cause increased bronchoconstriction.
