Olmesartan + Hydrochlorothiazide (Olmeheal 20 H) 20/ 12.5 mg tablet is a combination of two medicines used to help in keeping the blood pressure under control. Olmesartan helps your blood pressure go down by relaxing the blood vessels while Hydrochlorothiazide removes excess water and salts from the body by passing them into the urine. It reduces the amount of water in the body and thus reduces blood pressure.

How To Take
This medicine may be taken with or without food. Try to take it at the same time each day.
Take Olmesartan + Hydrochorothiazide precisely as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor.
This medicine must be taken regularly for it to be effective. Continue taking it even when you feel better. Do not stop taking it unless instructed by your doctor.
Dosage of Olmesartan + Hydrochlorothiazide (Olmeheal 20 H) 20/ 12.5 mg
Adult: Each tab contains olmesartan (mg)/hydrochlorothiazide (mg): 20/12.5, 40/12.5, 20/25, 40/25: 1 tab once daily. Dosage is individualised and may be titrated according to patient condition. Maximum of Olmesartan 40 mg and hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, skip the missed dose and return to your usual dosing schedule. If you often forget to take your medicine, let your doctor and pharmacist know.
Do not double a dose under any circumstances.
Overdose of Olmesartan + Hydrochlorothiazide (Olmeheal 20 H) 20/ 12.5 mg
If you think you may have used Olmesartan + Hydrochorothiazide more than the usual dose, please seek medical help immediately.
Contraindications
People with the following medical conditions should not take Olmesartan + Hydrochorothiazide:
- Hypersensitivity to olmesartan, ydrochlorothiazide, or sulphonamide-derived drugs
- Anuria
- Cholestasis
- Biliary obstruction
- Refractory hypokalemia
- Hypercalcemia
- Hyponatremia
- Symptomatic hyperuricemia
- Severe hepatic
- Severe renal impairment (CrCl <30 mL/min) impairment
- Pregnancy and lactation
- Concomitant use with aliskiren-containing products in patients with diabetes mellitus or renal (GFR <30 mL/min) impairment

Do not use Olmesartan + Hydrochorothiazide in people with the following conditions:
- Severe liver disease
- Severe kidney disease
- Unable to pass urine
- Low level of sodium or potassium in your blood
- High level of calcium or uric acid in your blood

- Lactation

How Does Olmesartan + Hydrochlorothiazide (Olmeheal 20 H) 20/ 12.5 mg Work?
Olmesartan acts by blocking the vasoconstrictor and aldosterone-secreting effects of angiotensin II by selectively binding to AT1 receptors. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic acting mainly at the beginning of the distal tubules where it increases the sodium and chloride ions excretion, and consequently of water, thus reducing the reabsorption of electrolytes from the renal tubules.

Storage Conditions
- Store between 20-25°C.
