How Does Gabapentin (Gabatop-800) 800 mg Work?
Gabapentin is structurally related to neurotransmitter GABA but does not bind to GABA A or B receptors nor influences the GABA uptake or synthesis. Instead, it binds with a high affinity to the α-2-δ-1 subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels, thereby modulates the release of excitatory neurotransmitters that participate in epileptogenesis and nociception.

Gabapentin is used to treat the following conditions:
- Epilepsy
- Neuropathic pain
- Restless leg syndrome
- Postherpetic neuralgia
