How To Take

This medicine should be taken together with food or immediately after a meal. Try to take it at the same time each day.

Baclofen is available as a tablet. If you are given the tablet, swallow it whole with a glass of water or milk.

You may need to take Baclofen for some time before the full benefits can be felt. Continue to take this medicine even when you feel better and do not stop taking it unless instructed otherwise, as stopping it suddenly may worsen your condition. Your doctor will gradually reduce the dose before stopping it completely. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully.

Take Baclofen precisely as directed by your doctor or according to the instruction on the label. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor.

Dosage of  Baclofen (Bacloheal 25 mg) 25 mg

Adult: Initial: 15 mg/day in divided doses; increase gradually according to the response. Suggested regimen: 5 mg three times a day for three days, increase to 10 mg three times a day for three days. Similar increments and intervals until either a dose of 20 mg three times a day are reached or until the desired therapeutic effect is obtained. Withdraw gradually if there is no response within six weeks of achieving max dosage.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose, skip the missed dose and return to your usual dosing schedule. If you often forget to take your medicine, let your doctor and pharmacist know.

Do not double a dose under any circumstances.

How Does  Baclofen (Bacloheal 25 mg) 25 mg Work?

Baclofen is a GABA-B receptor agonist that inhibits both monosynaptic and polysynaptic reflexes in the spinal cord by acting as an inhibitory neuronal transmitter or by blocking excitatory synaptic transmission through hyperpolarisation of afferent terminals. This stimulation results in the inhibition of excitatory neurotransmitter (glutamate and aspartate) release, which may generally contribute to pain and muscular hypertonicity with increased tendon reflexes.
